Misha Bogomaz, Psy.D., C.G.P., ABPP
Dr. Misha Bogomaz is Director at University of North Florida Counseling Center. He is a Licensed Psychologist, Board Certified in Group Psychology, and a Certified Group Psychotherapist with experience and interest in group psychotherapy, group dynamics, leadership, followership, group unconscious, and group decision making. He is currently the president of the American Board of Group Psychology.

Samuel R. James, EdD, ABPP
Samuel R. James, EdD, ABPP is a psychologist that has focused as a clinician and an organizational consultant. As a clinician he was the Associate Director of the Center for Group Psychotherapy at Massachusetts General Hospital; Clinical Fellow of the Harvard Medical School; past-president of the Northeastern Society for Group Psychotherapy; and Chair of the Affiliate Societies Assembly and a member of the Board of Directors of the American Group Psychotherapy Association. As a consultant he worked for 35 years as a specialist in developing teams, assessing cultures, leadership transitions, and leadership and organizational development. He is a former board member of the New England Society for Applied Psychology and a member of the faculty of the William James Coaching Certification Program. He is a Trustee of the American Board of Professional Psychology.
Darryl L Pure, Ph.D., ABPP, CGP, FAGPA
Dr. Pure is a Fellow of the American Group Psychotherapy Association where he has served in a variety of governance positions including three terms on the Executive committee; two as Treasurer of the Association, Chair of the Affiliate Societies Assembly, and four terms on the Board of Directors. In addition to his work for AGPA, Currently. Dr. Pure is Chairman of the Board of the Group Foundation for Advancing Mental Health.
Dr. Pure served as Coordinator of Group Psychotherapy Training and Services at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University from 1996-2006 and continues to lead Group Psychotherapy training for the Psychiatry Residency Program. He holds the rank of Lecturer in Clinical Psychiatry at the Feinberg School of Medicine, Northwestern University. He has also twice served as president of the Illinois Group Psychotherapy Society and has been its training director.
Beginning in 2020, Dr. Pure became a founding faculty member of Interpersonal Dynamics at the University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds the position of Adjunct Assistant Professor of Leadership.
Involved in the American Board of Group Psychology, Dr. Pure is a Fellow and has been a member of the Board for 12 years. Currently, he is the president-elect of the Board in addition to serving as the coordinator of the Maintenance of Credentials..
In addition to workshops and experiential groups locally and nationally, Dr. Pure has presented at international conferences on issues related to practice development and gender issues in groups and continues to be invited to train clinicians in the United States and abroad. Dr. Pure has actively worked in the field of Conflict Resolution in both Northern Ireland and Israel. A related focus for him is Attachment Theory in group psychotherapy and the application of Emotionally Focused Therapy principles and techniques to group. Dr. Pure has a vibrant practice which includes several groups. He is currently the past president of the American Board of Group Psychology.
Elizabeth Weiner, Ph.D, ABPP
Elizabeth Weiner, Ph.D, ABPP, works at the United States Medical Center for Federal Prisoners in Springfield, Missouri. She provides group therapy on the open, semi-locked and locked treatment units for severely disturbed psychiatric inpatients. She is the internship supervisor for the Group Psychotherapy minor rotation. Evidence-based treatments she uses include various types of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy for criminal thinking errors, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Illness Management and Recovery, and Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction.
Jayson Hsieh, Ph.D., ABPP
Dr. Jayson Hsieh received his Ph.D. in clinical psychology at Palo Alto University, a doctoral internship at Norton Sound Health Corporation (part of the Alaska Psychology Internship Consortium), and completed his postdoc training in North Slope Borough-Child and Youth Service at Utqiagvik (format known as Barrow), AK.
Dr. Hsieh was board-certified in Group Psychology by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in 2019. Dr. Hsieh currently works at the Alaska VA Healthcare System since 2016. Dr. Hsieh served as Secretary and Disaster Response Network (DRN) of the Alaska Psychological Association in 2016~2018.
Ronn Johnson, Ph. D., ABPP
Ronn Johnson is a professor and senior associate dean for inclusion and medicine at Creighton School of Medicine. He is also the Director of Interprofessional Education and Team Based Care at Creighton University Medical Center in the Department of Family & Community Medicine.
Lisa Stern, PhD, CGP, ABPP
Dr. Stern is a clinical psychologist in private practice in Manhattan, NY. She is the director of Adelphi University’s postgraduate program in group psychotherapy. She also teaches and supervises in Adelphi’s postgraduate program in psychoanalysis, and supervises the group therapy trainees in the doctoral program.
Noelle Lefforge, Ph.D., ABPP
Dr. Lefforge is an Associate Clinical Professor and the Professional Psychology Clinic Director at University of Denver’s Graduate School of Professional Psychology. She also serves as the Associate Dean of Applied Research and Sponsored Programs. She is active in teaching, training, supervision, clinical service delivery, research, mentorship, advocacy, and interprofessional education and practice. She has extensive expertise in group psychotherapy, community mental health prevention and intervention, suicidality, and diversity issues in professional psychology. Dr. Lefforge is board certified in group psychology and group psychotherapy and serves in leadership roles in the Society of Group Psychology and Group Psychotherapy (APA Division 49), the American Group Psychotherapy Association (AGPA), and the American Board of Group Psychology (ABGP). She has also held various leadership positions within the Nevada Psychological Association and the American Psychological Association. Currently she is APA’s Council Team Chair-Elect and serves on the Board of Directors. She has published on responding to microaggressions in The International Journal of Group Psychotherapy, the specialized practice of group psychotherapy in the American Journal of Psychotherapy, and most recently the education and training guidelines for group psychotherapy in Training and Education in Professional Psychology. She is an Associate Editor for the International Journal of Group Psychotherapy. She is the recipient of several prestigious awards including NPA Outstanding Advocacy Award and UNLV Honor’s College Alumna of the Year.
